Quality is fair to good.

Fruit coming to the border is mostly transferred West to Santa Maria and Oxnard for consolidation. There is very little fruit available for FOB business in McAllen, TX. Quality is fair.

The Chilean product is behind schedule, resulting in very few containers being offloaded at the ports. The product is transferred to Oxnard and Santa Maria Peru’s imports are declining rapidly as they move into a planting gap. The Chilean product is a week or two behind schedule, resulting in very few containers being offloaded at the ports. Cool temperatures are slowing the maturation rates at the field level in Central Mexico. Quality is fair.

Lemon markets are steady. Currently, all three districts are shipping, with an overall peak size of 140/165ct. Mexico product has been steady with good quality. Quality is good.
Lime We are currently seeing really good supplies in the market this week with harvest as much of the current crop fruit as possible to get ready for the new crop starting up. While there are good supplies this week, and pricing eased off again, growers are saying their supplies available for harvesting this week and going forward are decreasing as they get more into the new crop and have less of the “old” crop supplies left. With a lower volume crop, and getting into the holidays, we expect volumes on inbounds to begin to decrease and stay lower until after the first of the year. If demand picks up at all this could cause the market to react upwards. Historically at the end of December and the first Q1 each year pricing trends higher. Overall quality remains good with very few issues on inbound fruit.
