- Harvests this week continue to be limited as growers take time off for the holidays and celebrate the New Year this week. Markets are fairly steady but are expected to get a little stronger as we approach the weekend and into next week as overall supplies are limited due to reduced harvests last week as well as this week. 200cts and smaller continue to be less available and is reflected in the price. The last bit of old crop fruit is peaking on the 110/150ct sizes, and that will quickly dry up in the coming weeks. We are starting to see some more stylar, and skin break down on some of the larger sizes as the fruit is older and will continue to pull out everything we can at shipping. With fruit out of Mexico being extremely limited, we are also bringing in fruit from Colombia as well to make sure we can fill orders for regular customers. On a positive note, around the end of next week we should start seeing an improvement in availability as growers get back to harvesting on a normal schedule next week.

Some domestic red seedless grapes are still available in California. Domestic supplies of green grapes have finished. Imported reds and greens are arriving on both coasts, though arrivals are lighter than anticipated. The situation is expected to improve in the second half of January, with adequate supplies projected for February. Quality is good.
