Market Outlook
Lettuce:
The lettuce market is up just slightly. We continue to see good quality on inbound.
Leaf:
Romaine and romaine hearts are steady. Quality has been good on all Romaine items. Both Green leaf and Red leaf are mostly steady and quality has been good overall.
Broccoli:
The Broccoli market is steady with fair supplies. Quality has been very good on inbound.
Cauliflower:
The cauliflower market is lower with better supplies. Quality has been good on inbound.
Carrots:
The carrot market is steady for next week. Product is short coming out of Mexico.
Celery:
The celery market has really jumped with supplies coming up short. Quality has been good out of Salinas.
Strawberries:
Market will be up slightly with great demand and light supplies. Quality has been very good overall.
Potatoes:
The Idaho potato market has remained steady for next week. Quality has been fair to good.
Onions:
The onion market has now started to show some upward movement and costs will be trending up for next week. Quality has been very good.
Citrus
The California lemon market remains strong and is very short. We are seeing good quality overall. We are seeing some Chilean arrivals, but light supplies overall and strong markets. Oranges are also stronger, with limited availability, especially on small fruit. Quality has been good. The Lime market is steady for next week. We are seeing good quality on inbound.
Cucumbers:
The cucumber market is on the higher side for next week, and quality has been only fair. New Jersey just getting started with very light supplies.
Peppers:The green pepper market has taken a turn up for next week. Product has been extremely difficult to source. Quality has been fair to good.
Tomatoes:
The round tomato market is steady. South Carolina about done and California just underway. Supplies remain light overall. We are seeing fair to good quality. Grape and cherry tomatoes are steady. Both are showing good quality. The Roma market remains high with very limited supplies from Mexico.

Strawberry Kiwi Cheesecake Salad
Ingredients:
8oz cream cheese softened
1/2 cup sugar
8oz cool whip
3 cups sliced strawberries
2 cups sliced kiwi
2 sliced bananas
Instructions:
In a large bowl beat together cream cheese, cool whip and sugar until combined
Add strawberries, kiwi and bananas. Fold carefully into the cream cheese mixture and serve!
